jNETx Taps tekVizion for Integration, Development Expertise
Open Standards Give Carriers Flexibility in Developing
New Revenue Sources
RICHARDSON, TX June 21, 2004 – tekVizion™
PVS, Inc. has been named by jNETx, Inc. to provide integration
services and custom application development to jNETx customers.
tekVizion, which offers professional services to network operators
and service providers, is thoroughly versed in jNETx products,
including the Open Convergent Feature Server (OCFS), a telecom
application server that allows operators to offer services across
disparate networks, and the Telecom Service Studio (TSS) which
allows operators to quickly design and test new services.
tekVizion has already developed and deployed solutions for carriers
based on the jNETx feature server, including a custom call screening
application which was developed and deployed by tekVizion for
a network operator in approximately 90 days. It has been operational
for close to a year and is currently handling several million
calls a day.
In addition, jNETx’s OCFS is also running in tekVizion’s
Centerfield Solution CenterSM and is being demonstrated in tekVizion’s
Executive Briefing Center (EBC). The EBC is designed to demonstrate
how various solutions perform under real-world circumstances and
to foster an environment for creating, testing, and validating
new telecom services and customized applications.
The OCFS enables operators to offer services across the Internet,
next generation and legacy networks regardless of specific underlying
network elements or protocols. It complies with the ANSI, ETSI,
3GPP, 3GPP2 and IMT consolidating standards for service convergence
across fixed and mobile, SS7 and IP networks. jNETx implements
a JAIN SLEE framework, a Parlay Gateway, a full set of Open Service
Access APIs and a wide range of resource components needed to
build next generation communication services.
tekVizion’s services include custom software development,
multi-vendor interoperability, integration, test and support services.
tekVizion specializes in developing solutions that span next generation
and legacy networks.
“jNETx and tekVizion already have joint customers who know
and rely on both companies to bring their legacy and next generation
networks together,” said Gary Miles, jNETx COO. “tekVizion's
unique expertise with next generation platforms and experience
creating services for converged networks make it an ideal partner
for jNETx.”
“jNETx embodies the qualities tekVizion looks for when
bringing together products for its solutions,” said Lee
Phillips, tekVizion CEO. “The jNETx platform makes use of
open standards and open APIs for service creation. This means
carriers have flexibility in selecting new network infrastructure
and can leverage what they already have in place, saving them
time and money. “
