tekVizion Appoints New Vice President of Professional Services
Expanding Business for Telecom Corridor® Firm
Creates New Position
RICHARDSON, TX (May 10, 2004) – tekVizion™
PVS, Inc. announced today that it has named Curt Hamilton to the
position of vice president of professional services.
In this role, Hamilton—a 26-year telecommunications
industry veteran—oversees implementation of tekVizion’s
professional services strategy, reporting to the company’s
president, Terri Albers Griffin. Vice president of professional
services is a new position within tekVizion, created in response
to the company’s increased customer base, growing demand
for its services, and new found growth in the telecommunications
industry.
Hamilton brings a wealth of experience to his position
at tekVizion, including significant and relevant experience in
the packet voice industry and with professional services. As vice
president of engineering at telecom technologies, a provider
of products and professional services to the telecom industry,
he was instrumental in the development of one of the industry’s
first softswitches. He then held the position of vice president
of professional services at Sonus Networks, a leading provider
of softswitching and media gateway products, following its acquisition
of telecom technologies. Most recently, as director of
sales for SBC Telecom, Hamilton had responsibility for sales of
next generation voice and data products into government, education,
medical and enterprise networks, giving him unique insight into
the ways end users will use and benefit from converged services.

Prior to joining tekVizion, Hamilton was director
of sales for SBC Telecom’s Advanced Enterprise Solutions.
Before that, he was general manager of network operations at Corban
Communications, a company that provides transport services over
wireless and fiber optic networks. In addition to his positions
at Sonus Networks and telecom technologies, Hamilton has also
held various sales and engineering positions at MCI, Tekelec and
the U.S. Air Force, among other organizations.
