N(x) Network Middleware is
a carrier-grade platform that uses a convergent network service
abstraction and execution system based on java standards for developing
and deploying voice, data and video services to wireless, fixed
line circuit and broadband networks. The N(x) allows communication
service providers to cost effectively create, test and deploy integrated
voice and data services. N(x) Middleware provides a truly programmable
execution environment for integrating various protocol extensions
and implementing needed changes. This will enable service providers
with the freedom to overcome limitations and take advantage of
extensions that innovative vendors will provide. By abstracting
the network through an extensive set of standards-based APIs sanctioned
by global standards bodies, the jNetX N(x) provides for simplified
